Incandescence
The title “Incandescence” sounds like a manifesto. The four works are also titled with allusions to the practice of the artist. Three hands give birth to fire, while
the egg engulfed in flame is a symbol of life.
The Incandescence produces a body of heat which generates energy around
itself and enables it to hatch. The Incandescence characterizes both poetic passion and the state of love. And a work as its author owes to the state
of incandescence, a manifestation of what comes alive, here is what haunts
the spirit of the young Japanese artist.

L'Herbier de Mr. Parmentier
Mix média sur planche d'herbier
44 x 28 cm. 2017
The herbaria (preserved plant specimens) are from collections of vegetation that have been dried and glued on sheets of paper which include the origins of the specific type of plant.
Although very fragile, these show the plants in a way that they seem to always be alive. Akira Inumaru has an herbarium that was made by Mr. L Parmentier between 1885 and 1891.
